1. General Description
The AION420 is a compact industrial LPWAN bridge designed to digitize existing 4–20 mA sensor signals. It converts analog current-loop measurements into wireless LoRaWAN® or mioty® data, enabling the seamless integration of existing sensor installations into modern IoT and IIoT infrastructures.
Existing sensors, PLCs, and control systems can remain in place, making the AION420 ideal for efficient retrofit and remote monitoring applications. There is no need to replace the existing infrastructure, which significantly reduces integration effort and investment costs.
The AION420 supports both 2-wire and 3-wire 4–20 mA sensors and enables wireless transmission of measured values via LoRaWAN® or mioty®. Thanks to the integrated loop-through function, the analog signal can continue to be used in parallel for existing control and automation systems.
With freely configurable signal mappings, limit value monitoring, and alarm functions, the AION420 is suitable for a wide range of industrial, utility, and environmental applications. Data can be transmitted cyclically or on an event-driven basis and remotely configured via downlink.
With its compact industrial housing, high measurement accuracy, and support for modern LPWAN technologies, the AION420 enables reliable digitization of analog measurement points and efficient integration into existing IoT and cloud platforms.
