NFC Tag Recovery, alternatively test "Activate sensor" in LinQs
This procedure is used if there are problems with the NFC. Please read the document NFC ST25 APP beforehand.
- Download the NFC app from STMicroelectronics in the App Store. The NFC recovery only works with Android devices.
- Open the app and wait until the start screen has loaded. Then save a tag of a sensor.
. - After scanning, the following image should appear automatically. Then click on the "NDEF" tab (highlighted in yellow)
. - The screen should then change to the following window. Here you can see that no record has been created. The runtime of the sensor is not affected by this malfunction. To recover the sensor now, click on the blue and white Flie-Plus symbol in the bottom right-hand corner.
- Then select the "MIME record" entry in the next pop-up window. You may have to scroll down a little to do this.
- A new window will open. Here you must change the MIME entry from "parameter/value" to "application/json". To do this, click in the blue field in which "parameter/value" is entered and change the entry to "application/json" in the new pop-up window. Scroll down to do this.
- In step 7, simply enter the RESET command with {"power": "RESET"} and then play it on the sensor using the disc symbol. To do this, move the end device over the sensor. If the tag is written correctly, a small pop-up window with "Tag updated" appears.
- The sensor can then be read out again. To do this, restart the app and scan the tag.
- After clicking on the "NDEF" tab from step 3, a "MIME record" should now appear.
- Click on the MIME record entry to verify that the sensor is working properly. In this case, the "power" field should have the entry "ON". Further settings are also displayed.
