General special sensor functions
Do you want to understand how special sensor functions such as vandalism detection or the Delta feature work?
Here you will find the documentation for generic special sensor functions
Special cross-product sensor function
Name | Products |
Delta Feature | ALL |
Vandalism detection | Apollon-Q, Neptun |
Opening detection | Apollon-Q, Neptun |
Double Tap | Febris |
Function: Delta features
Let's assume that the sensor measures and transmits at 12:00 and is in the default settings (_property_meas_period = 30, _property_alarm_pause = 6). At 12:10 the level changes by 100mm (> _property_alarm_delta). The sensor sends the new fill level at 12:30. If nothing changes all day after 12:30, the sensor transmits at intervals of 3 hours from 12:30 (_property_alarm_pause x _property_meas_period). Measurements are still taken every half hour (property meas_period).
Function: Vandalism detection
The following parameters can be set.
Key

Description
Unite
r/w
vdetect
Activates vandalism detection: 0: Vandalism detection off 1: Vandalism detection on
rw
vdelta
Maximum time that may elapse between two impacts for a vandalism alarm to be triggered after the number of impacts.
sec
rw
vlimit
Number of impacts, of which a maximum of two may be within the impact delta interval for the vandalism alarm to be triggered.
rw
vstren
As soon as the acceleration is greater than the set vstren value, an impact is counted.
mG
rw
vcool
Specifies a period of time in which another vandalism alarm cannot be triggered after a vandalism alarm has been triggered.

Function : Opening detection
Key
Description
Unite
r/w
Open Cooldown
Specifies a time period in which a further opening cannot be triggered again after an opening has been triggered (debounces the openings). The last counted opening serves as a reference value. |
sec
rw
Open Alarm After
Indicates how long the cover must be open before an alarm is triggered |
sec
rw
Open Source
Indicates which source has been selected for opening detection: 0: None (opening alarm deactivated) 1: Accelerometer 2: Hall
rw
Magnetic Field Behaviour
Specifies the operating mode of the Hall sensor: 0: Container is closed when magnet is applied 1: Container is open when magnet is applied 2: Sensor counts an opening when magnet is passed twice
rw
Open Alarm Enable
Activates or deactivates the open alarm: 0: deactivated 1: activated
rw
Property Open Alarm Enable
Specifies whether an alarm is triggered after the Open Alarm After time when the container is open 0: Alarm not active 1: Alarm active
📢 After joining or registering, the sensor waits for the propertyopen_cooldown time until the opening counters are active. These are set to two minutes by default
Apollon-Q Flap opening detection.png?width=573&height=413&name=Untitled%20(97).png)
Flap opening detection is detected by a rotation around the x-axis.
The sensor must be mounted on the flap as follows:
A flap opening detection is detected by opening the flap as shown in the following image:
